Small garden project in Leytonstone, East London.

I was approached by a young couple in Leytonstone to put together a design for their newly renovated house in the Bushwood area of Leytonstone, East London. The brief was a garden for entertaining with separate areas for lounging and dining. They wanted an area of chequerboard paving to be included along with lots of natural planting to soften the harshness of the new garden room. After working together on the concepts the masterplan was finalised and this was the completed result. As you can see the garden is on two levels connected by floating steps constructed with the same Millboard decking that was used on the top level. Planting breaks up the hard landscaping and will eventually screen the garden room at he back.
